With impressive sound quality, lighting, and visual effectsalong with the tribute artist’s spot-on performancethis performance certainly comes close to an actual. MJ Live, the nation’s #1 Michael Jackson tribute show, at the Stratosphere Hotel & Casino is proud to feature the extremely talented Franca as one of its’ star performers and audiences in Las Vegas and in theaters across the country agree with their nightly standing ovations. This Vegas show recreates the legendary superstar's energy and magnetism while featuring some of his most famous chart-topping songs including Bad and Beat It. Jalles has won numerous contests for “Best Michael Jackson Impersonator,” Best overall “look” and “Best Moonwalk.” Billing himself as “MJ THE LEGEND” Jalles has thrilled audiences at private and corporate events, festivals and tribute shows throughout Las Vegas, Hollywood, Dubai and more. Soon after the passing of his idol, Jalles began dedicating his talents to pay tribute to the late Superstar. A long time fan of the ‘King Of Pop,’ Michael Jackson, Jalles began imitating the star’s signature dance moves during his routines at Studio 54 and various other venues. At the age of 21 he began a seven year residency as a performer, dancer and percussionist at Studio 54 Nightclub at the MGM Hotel & Casino.
Whilst it undoubtedly takes a lot of rehearsing for so many to be in time together and they are also talented dancers, to me it's a bit "well, if all those guys can do it.".JALLES FRANCA Appearing as Michael Jackson Jalles moved to the United States from Brazil at the age of 16, to fulfill his dreams as a professional dancer in Las Vegas. I'm not a fan of 30 back-up dancers/troupes doing the same dance - to me that dilutes what the artist is doing. MJ was a great show but "plastic" (no punn intended) -and he had years to plan between tours! Whereas, despite the great stage productions that were SOTT, Lovesexy and D&P - Prince was still the total focus - mesmerising ! U2 with their fancy stages just got lost behind the props and you can only take so much of the Edge's jingly-jangly guitar work repeated song after song. I've been lucky enough to see MJ, Springsteen, Janet, U2 amongst others and have stomached 20mins of a Madonna "live" (NOT) DVD - there is no-one to touch him.
Jalles Franca is amazing He is a consummate performer, and he delivers an unbelievable tribute to Michael Jackson. He had never seen Michael Jackson, and I felt like he was able to experience the true magic of the King of Pop at MJ Live. For anyone who wasnt fortunate enough to have witnessed Michael Jacksons live shows, the experience was undeniably one of the best live performances on. Saafiir - I agree that those tours you mention make him the "Best Ever" - they had it all - big stage production AND amazing musicianship, dancing, singing - the LOT!! I still feel his current live act is still the best around TODAY. Friends told us we needed to see the MJ Live show before we left. But I'm posting on prince dot freakin org so I'm biased as hell. Myles Frost, foreground, stars as Michael Jackson in MJ, a biomusical that imagines the final days of rehearsals for the Dangerous concert tour. Featuring all his biggest hits including Bad, Billie Jean, Beat It, Dangerous, Smooth Criminal, Black & White. Much more spontaneous than the big crowd-pleasers, imho.Īll that said he's the best I've seen live (LOVE MJ, but the lip syncing was annoying). MJ Live is the 60 minute Michael Jackson tribute starring the remarkable Jalles Franca. That's why his aftershows and smaller venues are the best way to see him live. Basically, he's very talented at making the rehearsed dance move/audience interaction look totally off the cuff.Īlso he's gone through his phases of ridiculous props (lovesexy tour for one). I've seen him several times a few nights apart and while there is some spontaneity, there's a whole lot of planned spontaneity. Prince's concerts are a lot more rehearsed than you might suspect.
He interacts with his audiences and he plays different instruments for different songs. It's HIM performing and not the sensory overload of ridiculous props or a calvary of dancers following him in military-style synchronicity.
